PNDI(2OD)T (also known as PCE8) is a family member of polynaphthalene diimide. It has successfully been used as an electron acceptor in highly-efficient all-polymer solar cells (all-PSCs), achieving a record performance with PCE of 8%

Compared to PC71BM, PNDI(2OD)T has lower-lying HOMO and higher-lying LUMO energy levels, which could potentially lead to higher open voltages in all-PSC devices.

PNDI(2OD)T also exhibits n-channel characteristics in organic field-effect transistor (OFET) devices, with its electron mobility (μe,FET) value being up to 0.25 cm2V1 s-1
